Multiple shelf bays
When it comes to the practical aspect, it's pretty standard to capture multiple shelf bays. Make sure to carefully review the quality requirements mentioned below for the photos to meet the necessary criteria.
Capture photos from left to right
If several shelf bays need to be photographed, photograph from left to right.
Remember to maintain a 20% overlap between each photo. This means that when you photograph the second shelf bay, part of the previous shelf bay will still be visible in the photo.
Capture only one shelf bay per photo
When capturing photos of multiple shelf bays, please ensure that each photo includes only one shelf bay. So, if you happen to have three shelf bays to photograph, make sure to take (at least) three separate photos, each focusing on a single shelf bay.
Single picture

Stand at the right distance from the shelf
Ensuring optimal visibility of the shelf bay is of utmost importance. Make sure your camera is close enough to capture every detail of the shelf, yet maintain a distance that allows the entirety of the shelf to fit within the frame effortlessly. The distance to the shelf is ideally 1 to 2 meters.
Capture the photo from a frontal perspective
Please position yourself directly in front of the shelf. Take extra care to ensure that the camera is perfectly aligned, maintaining a 90-degree angle either vertically or horizontally in relation to the shelf.
Ensure a high resolution
Take a sharp photo without any kind of blur. Make sure that you have set the focus correctly and that you have a stable hand while taking the photo. It is important that all logos and product names are clearly legible.
Prevent reflection
The photo should be taken without any kind of reflection. It is important that all the details in the photo are clearly visible.
Avoid obstacles
Make sure the photo is clear of objects that may hinder the view of the shelf, such as people, shopping carts, and other obstacles.
Ensure there is a 20% overlap
Take the photo(s) wider than the shelf to prevent products from missing on the shelf.
This means that you photograph 20% extra shelf bay on both the left and right side of the photo(s). This corresponds to about 20 cm.
